Merry Monday Honeycomb

It's Merry Monday time again and this week we're playing Tic Tac Toe.

This is nothing like I'd planned!  Have you ever started to make a card and it seem like something takes over and you have no control over what happens?  Kinda scarey!  I was holding this new Honeycomb Embossing Folder and one thing led to another and here we are.

In part this card was inspired by my friend LeAnne.  I loved her random placement of the DSP hexagons.

Here's the board we're working from this week.

I went straight across the top with Red, Dry Embossing and Ribbon.  Three of my favorite elements for a Christmas card.

I know you'll enjoy what the other designers have created this week.

I hope you'll join us this week.  This is a fun board to play with and there's one more card for my Christmas card stash!

I had fun using up some more snippets so I'll take this to play at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

And Sarn is hosting her Rudolph Day from now til the end of the month.  Yikes, that's only a few days!  I'm glad I have a little something festive to take over there.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Seasonal Sayings
Ink:  Real Red
Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, DSP scraps
Other:  Honeycomb EF, Real Red Satin Ribbon

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy!

Bonnie, that is one cool Christmas card. I would never have thought of the hexagons done in this way for a Christmas card but I love it. Super creation and so pretty!!!

I used this Tic-Tac-Toe combo too! I love this one Bonnie - the honeycomb embossing folder looks wonderful on a Xmas card (something I probably would never think of!) but it works so well. Love it!

You may have pushed me over the edge on ordering this hexagon folder :) I love that it reminds me of a Christmas quilt and it's so pretty with all those colorful hexes made of dsp! NJ!

SO clever and effective.

I know what you mean about something taking over with design, that's what happens to me, most of the time the wrong person takes over LOL.

Not sure if my 1st comment 'took', so you may get this 2x. My 'takeovers' never look so pretty as yours did here! This is a fabulous look with the honeycomb, red, white & touches of black. Did you fussy cut the paper hex(es) or use a die? Love this card, but then I love ALL your cards! See you at Rudolph's & also the Playground. I heard mention of heated chestnuts. Never had such, wanna try. You game to try too? See you there. TFS & Hugs
